A fellow Christian accountability partner of some sort might also be really helpful. I really admire people who can share their struggles with people. That shows a lot of humility. I think that people struggle in secret and don't come out (no pun intended) about their problems until they've decided to stop trying, which is a shame.

I know that on the few occasions when someone close to me has come out as a "former Christian" or an unrepentant adulterer, I really wished that they would have said something about what they were getting into, and I've also been mad at myself for not being more alert and able to prevent it from getting so far.
... that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. John 5:23
