Whenever one starts with a paradigm (whether evolution or special creation) everything will be interpreted through it. I've always been open to evolution as being factual but am constantly disappointed by the evidence presented by scientists. This is just embarrassing. As a non-scientist who is very much concerned with truth and implementation of common sense, I have to conclude that discoversies such as this (as well as their reception!) raises my doubts about macro evolution substantially. Grasping at straws would be a kind way to put it. We have to get used to the fact that common sense will always be unpopular.

I'm not sure I can count how many "missing links" have been found in the last 30 years. All of them seem to get front page headlines. Then a few years later they get scant coverage when they are found to be not so missing.

Now, THAT's an excellent story.
