So these passages seem to suggest some variant human-compatible beings which intermingled with other people. The discussion of a "line of humans" and a "mystery lineage" sparked my imagination that there could be interrelationship of ideas between what scripture described and what these scientists found."We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.
I guess there are some simpler explanations than to imagine various forms of humans in these accounts. I think I heard that "sons of God" may have been descendants of Caleb whereas the "daughters of men" were of Cain.
