Which food storage company is preferred by LDS?

Just wondering if the LDS church has a preferred vendor for meal storage. Also, if ready to eat meals similar to military are in the mix. Some ready to eat meals have very long shelf life. I'm not into rotating and making bread as has been practiced.

The food supply chain could evaporate overnight.

Thanks for any info.

I listen to Glenn Beck very rarely, but every time I do he is pushing some food storage company. Not sure which one though but if you check out his website i am sure there are ads.

What does the LDS church have to do with meal storage?
A lot. Their church urges their members to have at least 10 years' worth of food stored up for emergencies. This may be because they are so committed to helping their needy—it limits the number of needy people that they will have to help in a crisis.

A lot of the big-name long-term-storage-food suppliers are located in Utah and run by Mormons.

The Mormon Church also has their own bulk canneries where members (and non-members) can go fill up #10 cans with dehydrated foods and have them sealed for long-term storage—at a pretty reasonable price. It isn't the highest quality, or the most varied, items you can get from other companies, but it is affordable and capable of keeping someone alive in times of shortage.

Hmm. I don't think I've ever heard that before. Interesting.
