After watching the Grinch again this year, I thought this was worth a bump.

So.............

Bump! :D

I guess I didn't see that last year! You are very very talented, TK!

Was this a somewhat true story?

well, the forum was down for an extended period of time due some server problem (i think) but i cant remember if it was before or after i wrote about the Grinch.

Time sure changes things; when i wrote this there were 17 pages under the "alternative views of hell" topic; there are many many more now, especially given the recent hot discussions of CU.

the toughest thing about writing a parody of a well-known poem is trying to keep the rhythm the same. Dr. Seuss is known for his rhythm, and finding words to match exactly is the challenge, and re-reading it i see where i missed it a few times. sometimes we read parodies of "twas the night before christmas"-- some are good, or bad depending on how well they maintain the rhythm.

Thanks Christopher!

Man, long time no see.

I still forward along your post "Hope as a reason to believe UR" to various people (cant remember the exact title). It was a classic. In fact, I am going to bump that!

Yeah, I'm afraid I do more reading than posting these days. Just hard to find the time...you know?

I hope that will change soon though. Maybe I can start hanging out again.

Anyway, keep on brother!

Enjoyed the poem. Well done. Now, if even the Grinch can be not only saved, but elevated to a position of leadership. . . oh, this was before he died? Oh well. All the better if this side of death.
