Where's the Lamb?

Everyone knows that someday lions will lie down with lambs, right? We remember reading it in the Bible, right? Plus it's on Christmas cards, so it must be true, right?
But when you read the pertinent passages (Isaiah 11:6 and 65:25), you find no lambs snuggling with lions. What happened? Has some sinister force removed this precious scene from Scripture?
