For some reason I’ve always been bugged by the statement, “Have a good day!” For a long time, I didn’t know why. But now I think I might have figured it out.
No one will ever say to you , “Have a piece of pie!” unless they have a piece of pie to offer you. But they never say, “Have a good day!” on the basis of themselves offering you a good day.
In my opinion, it would be much more accurate for them to say, “I wish you a good day!”
Have a good day; have a piece of pie
Have a good day; have a piece of pie

Man judges a person by his past deeds, and administers penalties for his wrongdoing. God judges a person by his present character, and disciplines him that he may become righteous.
