Re: Humour
You are right. When I looked up "humour" in the same dictionary, it says "chiefly British variation of humor". My original thoughts were from just looking up "humor". I also checked Wikipedia.

Sign In A Bar:
'Those Of You Who Are Drinking To Forget,
Please do Pay In Advance.'
Laugh And The World Laughs With You,
Snore And You Sleep Alone.
The Surest Sign That Intelligent Life Exists Elsewhere In The Universe;
Is The Fact That It Has Never Tried To Contact Us!

Man judges a person by his past deeds, and administers penalties for his wrongdoing. God judges a person by his present character, and disciplines him that he may become righteous.

Wore contact lenses then, but everything else looks pretty much the same. Right?
Re: Humour
Hmmm... That is truly remarkable, Steve, if you look "pretty much the same" as you looked 40 years ago!
I know I look A LOT different (at my present age of 83) from the way I looked at age 43 — indeed quite a bit different from the way I looked just 13 years ago as in my avatar picture.

All the contemporary music sung in church ( i.e. "7/11" songs, 7 words- repeat 11 times) should be numbered and put in song books. Then they should be memorized by the entire congregation. All we would then need is someone to call out the number, we would all remember it, and wouldn't need to sing it.

George Burns on his 100th birthday:
I still chase young women (pause to puff his cigar and with a puzzled look on his face),
I just can't remember why.

Two missionaries are on their way to take the gospel to a remote tribe, known for killing outsiders by decapitation.
One and them is very nervous and says: "I'm not sure this is where we should be headed."
