Hey Michelle,

Yes here I am, after a very long sleepless flight…wonderful views though above the clouds, especially flying into Vancouver looking down on snow capped mountain peaks.
Hmm, first impressions…it's great to be here, even if you all drive on the wrong side of the road, it's quite disconcerting…everyone was friendly & welcoming, but the US security check-in chick, not so much ("you are here for TEN weeks?! where do you work & how come you can have so much time off, & do you have a return ticket?" etc. She was a bit scary, but eventually let me into the country. Steve is very kindly doing taxi duty for everyone flying in, and it is great to meet him in person after all this time listening to his teaching.
I think I'm too tired to take it all in properly, so I am about to retire early & hopefully sleep in late. :D

even if you all drive on the wrong side of the road

Did you also notice that the water strangely swirls down the sink in the wrong direction in the U.S. as well? :) It's an interesting place! ;)

Have a blessed time Suzana!

Welcome! Perhaps you can drive down the California coast while you're here -- it's a most remarkable part of our country (too bad there are so many "flakes" over there and that it's so expensive to live there). Speaking of which... did you know that California is the only state in the union specifically mentioned in the bible?

Punch line, please.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'll have to take note of the water in the sink. Unfortunately I don't have a car so I won't be able to drive down any coast (come to think of it, that may be fortunate for everyone else, may avoid some head-on crashes!)...and Darin, what Michelle said please. I could have sworn America wasn't mentioned in the bible, but maybe that depends on one's eschatology?

Hey Steve, Dont forget to push record on your devices when teaching the classes...

Speaking of that, are those classes all avalable that you did last at Twin Lakes...you said you were going to get the two unrecorded ones done...just checking...would like to review them.

Blessings, and hope your classes go very well and can't wait to view/hear them.

Doesn't the Old Testament speak of the Land of the Fruits and the Nuts? (sorry, bad joke)

Thinking of creating a new section for the school. Here's some initial thoughts for topics -- feel free to modify and add etc and I'll get it set up soon..

The Great Commission School

Session 1 - Seattle Area
- Course Discussions (relative to subject matter, thoughts on lectures, things you wish were addressed, etc)
- Free Time Discussion (getting around area, weekend ideas or sharing general "campus" experiences)
- ??
Session 2, etc.

It's a great thought Darin, except I think most of the students are not forum members; and I'm not sure that we'll have loads of free time for extensive discussions, it's a fairly full schedule Steve has drawn up for us! But we haven't started properly yet so we'll have to wait & see how things go.
