molinism

Post by lee » Sat Oct 24, 2009 2:47 pm

molinism seems to be a a very interesting theory and it doesn't seem to contradict scripture, yet calvinists seem to be very annoyed to say the least by it.
any thoughts on this theory?
any ideas concerning why God would have created a world that He knew would fall into sin and require His death for redemption?
is God therefore the author of sin since He created humans He knew would sin?

Hi Lee,
I recently discovered William Lane Craig and his ideas on Molinism. Although I need to study it much more, it does make more sense to me than Calvinism or Open Theism. And it does seem to offer a better explanation for all the verses that refer to God choosing and election than what Arminians usually offer. I found a paper that Craig wrote in response to David Hunt that really opened my eyes to new possibilities which I'd never considered. It's at http://www.lewissociety.org/middle.php.
Let me boldly state the obvious. If you are not sure whether you heard directly from God, you didn’t.
