Introducing myself

Post by Ashes » Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:20 pm

Hello everyone, my name is Joas, or ashes, i'm from the Netherlands. I'm 24 years old.
I have been listening to the narrow path radio for a year now, and also to a lot of lessons online.
It has been of great help for me, and changed my way of reading scripture.
I hope to learn a more on this forum, been reading some post for a few months and hope to start interacting
So thats it for now

Hello Ashes, and also welcome.

Just out of curiosity, is Joas a guy's name, or a woman's? I couldn't find it in a baby name site, probably because it isn't an English name.
:)

Hi Suzana,

it's a guy's name(i hope), it's translated from jehoash or joash in 2 kings 12:1
But even as a dutch name, you don't hear it a lot, cause i have never met anyone else who goes by the name Joas

Hi Ashes,

Welcome!

If you`re like many Dutch people I know, you`ll be "Weltoffen" and speak near perfect English. Puts many of my countrymen to shame (I`m originally from across the English Channel to you).
