I too have a keen interest in the subject of the Messianic movement btw.

I'm a jewish Christian who goes to a Messianic temple so maybe i can help. We are not a group that must adhere to certain principals. We celebrate the jewish holidays but obviously it's symbolic since it can't meet biblical requirements.
I lead a bible study and i was'nt told what to teach or even asked what i believe and i try to encourage people to think for themselves.

How is the Seventh-Day Adventists part of the Messianic movement? The Seventh-Day Adventist is of Ellen G. White of Main, and of the early to mid 1800's.

It's not part of the Messianic movement at all. The only connection would be the 7th day Adv strictly follow the Sabbath and while Messianic's worship on Sat they are not taught they must rest on the Sabbath.

For me the entire Messianic movement is interesting, but also a complicated subject (at least for me). I know there are different schools of thought within the Messianic movement (as with all religious groups), but within it seems to be a fine line between legalism and religious liberty to worship in a more Jewish-oriented way. I have no problem with what you are describing. What I would have issue with would be teachers within that movement (as with the SDA) that would tell me that I am still bound to keep the seventh-day Sabbath, keep a kosher diet, etc. I have attended a Messianic meeting and although it was quite different than what I am used to, I did enjoy it.

I agree with your sentiments.
