Steve's onterveiw on an LDS podcast
Steve was interviewed by a former LDS Bishop and the Interveiw is now available to listen to. It was great! Steve, if funds ever permit, it would be awesome to hear you on the radio in the salt lake area. I have moved down here and been living here for over a year. I think Mormons in general would f...

Re: Annihilating the Canaanites
This is a good thread thanks for bringing this up. I have been having a difficult time understanding this issue myself and called Steve's show today to ask about his thoughts but was cut off due to technical issues. The thing that I struggle with most isn't necessarily that God wanted them wiped out...

lol Ian makes a good point. Although apparently the band "Bloodhound Gang" didn't have gibbons, siamangs, titi, indris, or tarsiers monkeys in mind when they wrote their lyrics. http://anthro.palomar.edu/behavior/behave_2.htm

Re: Steve: Please back your claim on whales with documentation
Being undecided myself about the pervasiveness of the role of evolution in the creation, I enjoyed the debate and would love to see a second round if that were possible. I was a little disappointed with the way the topic was worded because it left Jon with the task of presenting what he felt was som...

Re: Debating an Atheist
I don’t think there is any one evidence that proves God exists in a way that nobody could come up with a clever method to explain it away. I think it is the combination of the evidence together that is so powerful though. The most powerful evidence for most individuals of course are their own person...

Re: Debating an Atheist
“Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist.” Excerpt from “The Grand Design” by Stephen Hawkins and Leonard Mlodinow I once thought th...

Natural Selection and common descent
My brother asked that I post his most recent video about natural selection and common descent here for comment. He made it a point to separate in the video what is factual, and what is theory and I think he did a fair job of that. Are there any parts of this video that you think misrepresent importa...

Re: The Logical Fallacy of Christian Universalism
My apologies, I forgot that whenever I post people might assume I am trying to push a Mormon agenda. The only point I wanted to make is that without Jesus Christ’s work on the cross, everyone would actually be damned, so even if he decides to save everyone He really did save them from something. Mor...

Re: The Logical Fallacy of Christian Universalism
"if everyone is saved, then no one is saved - because no one was saved from anything REAL” This reminds me of what the villian from Disney's The Incredibles said, "If everyone is super, nobody is" I think your logic doesn't quite fit the concept of salvation though. If without Jesus we would be dam...

Re: The Theory of Evolution stated clearly
Thank you everyone for your lively discussion. I shared this with my brother and he appreciates it as well. Paidon, If I understand correctly, you recognize that dogs have changed drastically in a relatively short time, but you don’t think they could change enough to be considered another species no...
