Some fresh worship music
Hey theos community. Forgive me if this comes off too much as promotion but I just finished a new worship CD and wanted you to know how you can get it free if you're looking for some new worship music. I wrote a book that goes with it -both are themed on the attributes of God. Anyways, you can downl...

Re: How to Discuss Hell with Others?
This thread may be a bit dead at the moment, but I was just checking the threads and couldn't help commenting. I've also appreciated Steve's balanced information on the topic because it really does make you aware of where some might be coming from. It is also good to be reminded that the thrust of t...

Re: law of moses
This is an interesting subject for sure, I'm always chewing on little bits of it's implications...here's some things I've learned that seem to make sense and be consistent with what I see in the scripture: -Israel was the only country that's ever been a Theocracy, -meaning completely governed by God...

Clearest Prophetic Fulfillments
Hey guys, when demonstrating to an unbeliever prophecies that have already been fulfilled from scripture, what's your short (3-5?) list of what you'd cover? Obviously some prophecies require a lot more explanation or draw a lot more criticism, so we want the clearest ones.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Use of the word "hell" in conversations
Interesting discussion, i actually have a good story to go with it. I used to work in an office building with (understandably) a whole lot of worldly people. I've been raised to speak above reproach but a lot of my friends were getting into this "I can use profanity and be a Christian 'cause I'm not...

Re: The Great Commandment
Thanks for the note Steve. I guess either way it's not to hard to get at the heart of the passage since either way it implies all that we are...I just get curious what I'm supposed to think of when I hear these different words.

The Great Commandment
Hey Guys. I've been chewing on Matthew 22:37-40. I'm surprised how many commentators fail to address the greek words for 'Heart, soul, mind and strength.' Have any of you guys gotten to break these down? I read a couple things: One by Spiros Zodhiates and the other by Jamieson, Fausset and Brown...t...

Re: "Generational Curses"
It's interesting too that the passage about the sour grapes was a proverb the people used that God said He didn't want them to use anymore.

Re: "Generational Curses"
This one has come up to me in the last year as well. It was good to read your older response on it Steve. I've also found helpful this statement from Ezekiel 18:20: "The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousne...

Re: Experiences and knowledge
I don't know RV, but it is an interesting thought when we know that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb.11:6). I also think often about how it's the pure in heart that see God. When we're unmixed (pure) in our desires and motives to seek the Lord we put ourselves in the category ...
