Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
Found this on an internet search for 'is Paul a liar' - it's odd that Muslims can see that Paul himself said he's a liar. It doesn't look like Christianity will convert many to the Lord so long as they uphold the teachings of Paul instead? Sami Zaatari If you were ever wondering as to why missionari...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
The issue is inconsistency and the tale growing more fabulous with each telling. If you don't pick up on those facts, I can't make you see it. It can only be seen by observation of the accounts marked different accounts of events and the growing account of what he said Jesus said. Some years back on...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
Discussion of Paul's various viewpoints is an interesting topic, but since his teachings and our hearing him hinge upon the matters of the Acts accounts of the supposedly same incident, we'd likely stay more organized for discussion purposes to deal with that one first. If there are problems therein...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
Where are you finding the stark disagreement between the two? Jesus taught that to receive or reject those whom He sends is the same as receiving or rejecting Himself (John 13:20). The question, then, is: Did Jesus send Paul as an apostle? If not... —what happened on the Damascus Road? Did Paul lie...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
I'll paste the reply Steve's initial reply from the Courtyard so his comments are on this link for easier reference : Welcome to the fellowship here! I, for one, cannot see any difference between the teachings of Christ and those of Paul. —Both taught that Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord, the Mess...

Re: Luke 21:22. Was All Bible Prophecy Fulfilled at AD 70?
Luke might be a secondary resource, as he wasn't one of the twelve disciples. Jesus appointed and promised the twelve that they would have Spirit inspired recall of all He said to them. Luke is a historian and only reported as best he could from eyewitness testimony that may or may not have been 100...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
His varying accounts in Acts proves none of what he said is true. Each showed nothing, if not that he didn't tell the truth in any of them if he is to be believed. You'd better re-read them and tell me which one has him telling the actual truth:-) Which account is correct? Acts 9, 22 or 26? Or is Lu...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
I fear God, not a man who pretends a curse to those who disagree with anything he said, especially when this same man found the ones who had learned at the feet of Jesus for three years had nothing of value to tell him. In fact, his 'passing' comments about meeting them in Acts tells boatloads about...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
Steve, because you say what you think makes you no more correct that when I say what I think. The issue is about being careful to listen to God and do what He said. We both know that Paul admittedly spoke out of both sides of his mouth. One example is his statements on being as a Jew to those who ar...

Re: Knowing who speaks the truth of God - NT?
Hello Barnsweb, One key thing that opened my eyes about Paul was who Paul said gave the law to Moses VS what Moses and Jesus said. And who other than God (which Paul states to be so in Romans 3:2) are you thinking about here? Which books of the Christian Scriptures do you accept as canonical? What ...
