The historicists associated the second beast with papal Rome or the priesthood of the Roman Church.

I do not think one needs to be infallible to have an understanding of the book of Revelation.

That is the first time I have every heard that the literal word "mass" was literally associated with "birth" and not "death".

Perhaps someone else can reconfirm that when one states "merry Christmas" you are literally saying "merry birth of Christ".
