To me, if I believed in that system of eschatology, I would take the idea of people being "left behind" a lot more seriously than that. I think this is a really good point. To me, it's not the violence in the game, although that's plenty bad, it's this franchise that's being made out of what these ...

Eternal Forces thoughts
Maybe this has come up before on the forums, so please ignore this or point me to any previous discussions that might have arisen. I've seen this new game, based on the Left Behind series, mentioned a few times in the past, and it looks like it has now launched. This in an article about it on MSNBC....

Mathew 5:1-12 vs.4 - Title: Blessed Are They That Mourn
The following was written from notes that I took on Steve's intro lecture to the Beatitudes. Again, I hope that I did not butcher Steve's teaching, and that others will find this as usefull as I did in my own life. Feel free to use this in anyway you want. Also any comments or corrects would be welc...

This was the scripture I was thinking about, though it's a bit differnt than I had originally thought. I guess it would still apply if you want to approach a brother about a sin in their life, even if it isn't against you. As for a church that will practice it, I had not thought a lot about that. It...

Differences Between Christians, and How Should We Respond.
I keep thinking there is a scripture that says if you have a conflict with a brother that you should go to him, and then if he refuese to listne take a witness, and if neccesary go before the church. I've looked and looked, and can't find it, so maybe I'm thinking of several scriptures, and putting ...

How can we reconcile that near the end of Gideon's life he seemed to fall away, yet he is still mentioned in the faith chapter. My thoughts on this may be clouded by my presupposition that those mentioned in the faith chapter were saved by their faith. But after reading through it many times, I kee...

Sorry this has shift a bit towards the new testimant, but I'm still trying to sort out the lift of Gideon. As I was reading more in the book of Hebrews 11, I came to verses 38 and 39. Heb. 11:38-19 "(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and [in] mountains, and [in] dens and c...

I would agree that the story reads as though Gideon had not ill intentions when he mand the ephod. The concern somes from the last statement that it became a snare to Gideon and his family. To me it would indicate that in his last days Gideon abandoned his Salvation and became ensared in the idol wo...
