"The Pursuit of God" was an incredible book, thank you TK, it was impossible to put it down. I have recommended it to others who read and enjoyed it. I also ended up reading "The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Boenhoeffer and was VERY challenged by its directness. I HIGHLY recommend this book. Do...

church in OC?

I was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation to me about a church somewhere in the Orange County area. Basically, I am in Orange till 6 on Wednesdays and have a long drive back to the Inland Empire during traffic hour, so I usually try to attend a midweek service somewhere in Orange County ...

Thank you all

So much for praying for me, I can't say how much it means to me. I took the exam this week and now its over. God's blessings were constant there throughout the exam. Often, I would just stop and when I was torn between options and I would find the peace to choose one and move on. I even met a nice p...

I too seldom ask for prayer online

and this is an unusual request, but if anyone remembers, can you pray for me as I am studying to take the California Bar Exam on July 24-26. I study about 11 hours a day, I'm really trying to pass this the first time. I have been praying and am trusting in the Lord to get me through this, especially...

I'm surprised there hasn't been dispensational concern with this potential antichrist figure. Thoughts?

On a thread about Gary DeMar's and Ken Gentry's video "Demystifying Revelation," a debate on eschatology between Dr. Geisler and Steve was suggested. Somehow, I feel this exchange is as close as we will get to it, but boy wouldn't that be edifying? At least in person, there would be an emphasis on t...

TK, I caught a little of RC's study on the radio on Thursday. It was very good. I read "The Last Days According to Jesus" by Sproul and thought it was okay, but thought it borrowed too heavily from Kenneth Gentry. But listening to RC on the radio, he was making some excellent points. For example, he...

I don't get a chance to read for pleasure very often , but I am looking to read a good book on discipleship. I know from what I read on this forum that there many here consider discipleship an emphasis in characterizing a true Christian life, and I wholeheartedly agree. That said, are there any book...

Man and Woman

Perhaps this is an easy question that has been answered in this forum or other places, but any feedback would help. At the end of Genesis 2, there is the statement by Adam that about the woman, which essentially says that she is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. He continues to say that a man...
