Yeah if you do have biblical support that would be great. I find it hard to believe as well, but the scripture is pretty clear that we will not remember or have them come to mind. Maybe it is referring that our focus will be so much on Christ that we won't have time to think about the former things....

Isaiah 65:17
17"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
Is this stating that every experience we have here will be completely forgotten? If so, than what is this experience for? Strictly a test or something else.

Here's the situation. You have an assembly. There is no doctrine laid out that we basically agree with, just an open Bible. We begin going through the BIble. THere is one teacher that notices passages in Romans and Acts that lead him to believe that God chooses to save certain people and to pass ot...

Hi Micah, Yes, Paul is talking to a group of elders, and he says "even among yourselves shall men arise" (Acts 20:30)—whom he identifies as "wolves" (v.29). That is, even among the elders, there will be some wolves. I can see that now. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I always viewed 'yourselv...

Micah, The scripture you cited is actually talking about church elders (local church pastors) becoming wolves in sheep's clothing. As Derek and I have pointed out, the institutionalized church does not eliminate bad doctrine or "wolves" among the flock. It simply provides an environment in which th...

Call me crazy but if i were a pastor and had the authority i would present the biblical evidence for all these positions and let people decide what makes sense, but i would welcome everyone. I think it would ultimately become much more thought provoking but maybe i'm to idealistic. Don't you have t...

Personally, I would keep the topic on Jesus Christ. You could spend all year long discussing the virtues and non-virtues of Joseph Smith, but that isn't going to have an affect on them. I think the whole debate to have with them is 'Who is Jesus Christ?' I would try and steer them to all scriptures ...

Re: Insurance
Homer has asked a very relevant question which I hope some of you will answer. If you choose not to have health insurance, should a health care provider be required to treat you if you arrive at the provider's facility unconscious with no known means of payment for services that the provider might ...

Thanks for the reply Sean. I will definitely have to tread lightly when dealing on this subject. I remember one time in our sunday school class we were talking about Revelations. Well, the 1000 years came up and it was the typical pre-trib theory. Before I continue, this was before I found out about...
