A baby Christian bit of input here  Interesting topic...I must agree that my allegiance is to God, first and foremost. I have come to determine in my Christian walk and reading these replies that I would certainly have a problem pledging allegience to a nation "supposedly" founded upon a "nat...

At the age of 9, I began a professional life centered around music, and have been a professional musician ever since. Since beginning my walk with Christ, that "talent" ...a questionable concept in my case...h...

Thanks, Steve...While my rock-paper-scissors comment was a feeble (read:EXTREMELY feeble) attempt at humor, I do understand that there is divinity involved. I hope my lack of couth didn't come off as too sarcastic. I was curious as to how the actual process took place. I am guessing at best...dice?

Casting Lots

A baby Christian just wondering here...this "casting lots" thing is fascinating. After searching about, I was curious as to the gambling aspect of this. Is not gambling frowned upon in the Bible? I seem to remember happening upon that fact in scripture. And, has this practice somehow evolved into so...

Keeping in mind that I am just a baby Christian, I am reading a book (The Case For Christ) by a fellow named Lee Strobel and he interviews a historian asking this question. I do not have the book with me at present, but the gist of the historian's answer was that Herod was a bit of a bloodthirsty so...

Death of Judas

The suicide of Iscariot is referred to in Matthew as hanging. The only other reference in Acts seems to suggest a leap. My personal thought is that he was cut down and thrown into the field.
