...If I'm not mistaken, Josephus also wrote about "blood being up to the horse's bridle" in his description of the 70AD War. I'm not of the Historicist camp in eschatology; being more or less a partial-preterist and amillennialist (just about like Steve Gregg, he & I see eye-to-eye on eschatology),...

Rick, Thank you. I have no doubt that Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled all the Old Testament messianic prophesies. I just see some things about this second century Jewish revolt that remind me of passages of Scripture. An example: Midrash Rabbah Lamentations 2.2§4 They slew the inhabitants until the hors...

Was the Bar Kochba revolt prophesied?
Something that I have wondered about is whether the Jewish Bar Kochba revolt might be considered a fulfillment of prophecy from the Bible. It seems possible to me. I would be interested in any information that the scholars here could provide. Thank you.

There is no "Jewish race." Converts from places scattered over the earth make up the people calling themselves Jewish. Genea can't mean "Jewish race." Try substituting "Jewish race" in every passage where genea is translated "generation." So there is no Jewish race simply because Jewish people are ...

My first thought is to ask questions instead of making accusations. You could ask if what you believe a specific passage of scripture says is a misunderstanding on your part. If someone is accused they usually go into a defensive mode and discussion of the matter is not very easy. ...With very few e...

Rick_C, Know that you are not alone. This is turning into a great "venting" thread. It is amazing what a hold dispensational teaching has on people, even when they see the falsehood of a pre-trib rapture, they seem to usually cling to the rest of the teaching that birthed it. My discussion with a "p...

Is hearing this sort of nonsense (and not saying anything contrary to it) "fellowship"? No. But if you are lead by the Holy Spirit to humbly speak the truth in love it may become fellowship, (or you may be asked to be quiet or leave). Pray before you speak and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Asking ...

There are not many (or any) dispensationalists on this forum. Many dispensationalists regard Jewish people as God's chosen people forever and "the apple of His eye". They see Israel is the God-given homeland of Jewish people, and so if we are on God's side, we are on Israel's side --- right or wron...

"A feeling of profound love and admiration" is a short definition of the noun "worship." To "love unquestioningly and uncritically" is from a short definition of the action known as "worship." ************************************************************ Thomas is right. Remember the Jews mentioned i...
