Hi, Bob. (BTW, I didn't realize your real name was Bob when I made up my illustration. :D I just pulled that name out of the air.) When the time for choosing comes, choices C1 and C2 are excluded. Bob will chose C2. Period. I'm curious what your warrant is for this assertion. Otherwise, God would ha...

I know you were speaking to Sean, but I just have to respond to this: if God knows the choice in advance, then the possiblity of choosing the alternative is removed (or God would be wrong), and thus freedom is destroyed. But that's just wrong! The possibility of the alternatives are still there in t...

Where's the mp3?
From today's show?
I'm not aware of any local radio stations that carry the program, and I'm not available at the time when it airs anyway (so streaming isn't an option either). So the mp3's are the only way I can hear the program and I'm dying to hear today's installment of the debate.

Now how does "X will happen" differ from "X will necessarily happen"? Are they not affirming precisely the same thing? If not, what is the difference? I'm not sure if my understanding is adequate on this, but here is how I understand it: There is a distinction made between whether X will necessaril...

(Btw, I've had this problem on other forums also). This would indicate to me that this problem is unique to your computer. That's never happened to me, and I've used the automatic sign-on on other forms quite a bit. What browser/version are you using? To fix this, you could have a "New Members: Rea...

What you are describing is a classic logical fallacy, and I noticed James White committing this in the ongoing debate (as you describe with a remark about prophecy). This often happens not only with Calvinists, but also with atheists attempting to claim that theism is incoherent. One of the claims m...

Here's a question I'd like to see asked: Calvinist literature constantly makes the assertion that the Calvinist concept of God's sovereignty does not conflict with man's free will. Steve indicated in his "Sovereignty of God" lecture series that these statements are given as naked assertions with no ...

Re: My impressions of the debate after Day 2
... though I must, at some point present my positive case. If I am not able to take the time to do that during the debate (because I am forced to interact more with specific challenges), I will give my positive case on a sixth broadcast following the fifth debate. If Dr. White wishes to respond to ...
