Johann Christoph Blumhardt's writings

Hello all. Steve Gregg was gracious enough to let me borrow his collection of J C Blumhardt's unpublished writings. I have scanned them in to PDF format so that anyone who wants to read them now has access to them. There are six "books". The file sizes are pretty big so you will probably have to dow...

Recent Calvinist discussions & debate

Just wanted to pass this information along for those that may be interested... I ran across a podcast called Soteriology 101 (http://www.soteriology101.com) by Professor Leighton Flowers a short time back. He used to be a Calvinist and while teaching on the subject started the podcast. He has quoted...

Re: More news and need more prayers for my wife Michelle

Wanted to update everyone that Michelle is now cancer free. She had 5 rounds of chemotherapy and then had a double mastectomy. She stopped chemo at her 5th round of treatment because of a reaction she had after they put her on Taxol. CT scans that once showed her tumor could no longer detect it. So ...

What is the Gospel? (per Hebrews 4)

Had a chat with someone who insisted we are under the Law of Moses as Christians and try to use Hebrews 3-4 as proof. He also sent me a PDF claiming the same. (I'll try to post it here) The main argument is that Hebrews 4:2 says that the Gospel was preached to us as well as them, meaning the Law of ...

Re: More news and need more prayers for my wife Michelle

I will pray for you Sean. I know what you`re going through. I would be grateful if you would reciprocate I`m afraid. As of six weeks ago my wife has been known to have ovarian cancer, has had a major operation since and been told she has two to three years to live, despite chemotherapy. She is 50. ...

More news and need more prayers for my wife Michelle

Hello again all. My wife Michelle was starting to do better but discovered a lump on her breast. She has since tested positive for breast cancer (stage 1). Please pray for strength for all of us during this time and that God's will be done.

Re: Pray for my wife Michelle

Hello everyone and thanks for your prayers! She is feeling a bit better. As far as everyone's posted concerns I'll give some more information. She has already had an endoscopy and that is how we know her stomach is bleeding. She does not take (for at least some time now) any medication that would no...

Pray for my wife Michelle

Hello all, My wife has been having stomach issues for a little over a year and while there are times when she gets better, it doesn't last. They are going to do some more tests in February and have so far ruled out several things but still don't know what's going on. She has a bleeding stomach but s...
