Re: A Question about Conditional Immortality
Hey all, Thought I'd drop this invite. Glenn Peoples at Beretta blog and subscriber to Conditional Immortality will be at our forum http://www.evangelicaluniversalist.com to dialogue, one on one, with Dr. Thomas Talbott. He is currently getting familiar with Talbott's work and Dr. Talbott is current...

Re: The Danger of Universalism
I would say the problem is unbelief. I agree unbelief is the problem? But there is much to say about this. For the CU(UR, EU) we hold that is exactly why God shows his unlimited mercy, not because the person figures it out nor because he is a good man who repented. Rather it's the unbelief that mov...

Re: Calvinism and Universalism
From my understanding Arm. Theology (from the scholarly) do not endorse that God looks down the tunnel of time to see who and who wont love him. Rather that God pre-destines that ANY who should freely choose him will have eternal life. You can correct me if I am wrong about that. Now CC is a differe...

Re: Calvinism and Universalism
For those who have not read The Evangelical Universalist, I recommend it. Gregory does post at our forum which you can see the link under "views of hell". Most people I know (on our forum) are inclined toward free will. I am one of the few who actually embraces more of a calvinistic sense of Univers...

Re: The Evangelical Universalist
Homer, you may be right. We just started really and so the direction is a bit vauge at this point. Our real goal is to facilitate an arena for published authors, theologeons or radio hosts (steve heeheehee) to discuss the issue or related issues of Evangelical Universalism with Gregory Macdonald. We...

The Evangelical Universalist
Hi everyone, I was pretty much a new member to the (old) forum when it went dead. I was on for about 3 or so months and took quite a while before I figured out this forum was started. During that time I found Gregory Macdonalds blog on google. He is the author of "The Evangelical Universalist". He m...

Re: Universalism and the Patience of God
Homer, I certainly will not be one to claim to have read much. As for "unlimited patience" I don't believe the Universalists I know of claim "unlimited patience"in a sense that love never gets angry. In fact I believe that God's patience indeed does have limits but it never contradicts his love. For...

Re: Conditional Immortality Links
LOL Rnd, "of course he was lying"... I agree with much of what you said. My point was about the demons is that they are dead. Their believing in Christ is not ANY measure of faith. Simply because I believe Christians have dual natures (tension of flesh and spirit) that does not demand I think "intel...

Re: Conditional Immortality Links
The issue of the demons (devils) beliving "in" Christ is an issue James raises concerning faith. Is your view of James that demons have some measure of faith, which is a gift of God? Of course the devil was lying on more than one account as well. Did they die? The question was not "when" they will d...
