Re: Born Again or Begotten Again?

Paidon is correct. "Only begotten" does not mean "only one of a kind, or unique." It absolutely requires the concept of "begetting" (procreation). I know some modern translations translate John 1:18 as "unique" but this can easily be shown to be false. For example: Luke 7:12 NKJV "And when He came n...

postpre,

I am not sure how your comments in your second post can be harmonized with those in your first one.
The part about God being limited? If so, please expound a bit on what you mean.

Re: YouTube Videos Christology

If the Son of God is that "Wisdom" of Proverbs 8, and was begotten by God as His first acts (as it states there), then He MUST have been more than human at His begetting. No human was begotten prior to his existence as a zygote in his mother's womb. The fact that He was begotten as the first of God...

Re: Arminian Minute on YouTube

While I don't call my videos the "Arminian Minute" any longer, check out my latest where I respond to a pastor in my area. We have had some email correspondence, and while he is adamant in his views, our dialogue has been very cordial. YouTube Video: A Response to Mike Augsburger (Part 3: Antinomy) ...

Debate Opportunity

Steve, After we discussed an eschatological issue a few months back, I asked you if you'd be open to debating Tim Warner (on your radio program) on issues related to end times themes. You said you would be interested. I think Tim is closer to being able to do this. Would this still work for you? I t...

Steve's Explanation of Calvinism

I liked Steve's response about Calvinism, so I posted a YouTube video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL8_jPYrfHA Title: Steve Gregg: How Calvinism Imposes Faith Upon Haters of God Steve Gregg explaining how the Calvinist system imposes faith upon those who hate God (which is backwards to how ...

Re: Restoration of Israel from Isaiah 49

Steve, Up to this point, Tim has only debated in written form, but is looking to interact more in a live format. His only significant debate against a Calvinist is his written critique of James White's treatment of John 6. Maybe December would work for a radio debate. I will ask Tim to see what he t...

Re: Restoration of Israel from Isaiah 49

Steve, Your response was disappointing. I'm not disappointed that you vehemently disagree with my post, but that you insinuated that I'm a manipulator of the text of Scripture. I could have easily leveled such a charge against you when we interacted over Romans 11 a couple years back, but out of res...
