Re: Mark 11:19-24
I wonder how, in your heart, you would fancy avenging the blood of the innocent unborn, the victims of ISIS, or how about, say, those who were innocent of the crimes for which they were executed by the State.

Re: What is the best penal system?
Dwight, a fine is not a violent act, and indeed can discourage people from jaywalking. I have no problem with that - it can be used to pay policemen to bring criminals into custody to protect the citizenry. My statements are not rash at all - I have thought them out carefully since the execution of ...

Re: What is the best penal system?
''My problem with a penal system is its lack of hope for true rehabilitation or taking the person's lot into account.'' Thank you Jaydam and Paidion for your thoughtful posts, exploring the heart of God in this matter. I am very disturbed at the cold calculated way in which people use scripture to f...

Re: "God at war: The Bible & Spiritual Conflict" Greg Boyd
Someone has objected,"What about the free will of the victims of these atrocities? They have had their free will taken away by the perpetrators." That is true. But God didn't take it away; the perpetrators did. God empowers victims and their loved ones to be overcomers, to let go of their anger at ...

Re: Why did Jesus stop reading?
Steve said, “The man exonerated after 20 years in prison has still had irreplaceable life taken from him unjustly.'' Men in prison still come to the faith, earn college degrees, become lawyers, etc. Steve, I have read you saying in other places that the innocent man might as well be dead as in priso...

Re: My thoughts on the refugees
I am glad you enjoyed the interview - what a useful tool for anyone who has the opportunity to go fishing in Muslim waters!

Re: My thoughts on the refugees
The people who have been approved by the UN, and Canada is now investigating, have been in refugee camps for years so there is a record of their comings and goings. Our local town is being given a Christian refugee family. We are looking forward with joy to meeting them. Even if it were a Muslim fam...

Re: Personal prophecy and prophetic events
Once I got in line to be prayed over by a prophetess and God spoke through her of his love for me in a way that I was overcome - I had not even in my mind anything related to this word from Him. I will never forget it. However, I agree with what Steve says. I pray God give you wisdom how to walk amo...

Re: A Blood Moonless Evening?
I totally agree, Ryan. I know the excitement has died down, but, found this article the other day on Brad Jersak's site. It is a bit light-hearted and has some nuggets which might help for when the next onslaught of nonsense comes along, as well as the judaizing that seems to be continual. http://ww...

Re: A Blood Moonless Evening?
FYI The eclipse of Sunday night: ''The full eclipse of the moon lasted more than an hour and was visible from North and South America, Europe, Africa and western Asia. Showtime on the U.S. East Coast was 10:11 p.m. EDT (0211 GMT); when the moon, Earth and sun lined up, with Earth's shadow totally ob...
