Re: Has anyone heard "a still small voice" from God?
Hi Jeremiah, thanks for your reply. Your experience seems consistent with mine on several levels. Yours came when you were pondering something, and to me it sounds like you got confirmation or an answer to what you were wondering about. That has happened to me on a number of occasions with dreams. Y...

Hi sonseeahray,
I would be interested to read your "independant observations", as would many others here I dare say.
I hope you stick around
God bless you and yours,

Has anyone heard "a still small voice" from God?
Hi all, I have experienced several times over the course of years since I was saved by our Lord Jesus the phenomena of what I typify, "a still small voice"......possibly what Elijah experienced at Mt. Horeb: 1Kings 19:11,12 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behol...

Re: Is sin deterministic or probabilistic?
Hi Sam, First a couple of verses that come to mind: James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (KJV). James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (KJV). I agree that it is probabili...

Homer, I really don't know tech stuff very well or I would tell you just how I managed to get my pic up. I do remember I almost chose to click on "Resizing" but I didn't , I clicked on " create an Avatar" and followed directions best I could. I think I got lucky, hope you do too.

Re: WHY THE BEARD?
Yes Jeremiah, I did mean the growing of a beard when I chose the word "deployment". I almost used the word "employ" :) (I often choose words that will shorten the sentence). (Not sure that worked this time). I too also think the wife's preference would be the best reason to have a beard or not (abse...

Re: WHY THE BEARD?
Thanks for the question Paidion, I think the beard is there for natural reasons ie. warmth, protection from sun and gender identification. Also, I think the lack of a beard for women is for increased attractiveness possibly. Some might say, why then the lack of full beards for some peoples? To which...

Re: Lk 22:36-- Jesus's instructions to buy a sword
I'm now comfortable with Steve 7150's theory here: "Maybe the words "but now" meant that they now had to provide for themselves and Jesus was simply telling them to take the typical natural precautions one would take on a trip though still not meaning a real sword but a symbol of self protection." E...
