Re: John 3:16 book

Hi Matt, You wrote, "a. I see the book as being pretty evangelistic. My main audience is people on the fringes of Christianity or outside of it completely (though I think the book has value for seasoned Christians as well)." I like your vision for this book, and the idea for keeping it short (concis...

Re: John 3:16 book

Hi Matt, you wrote, For Jesus to come right out and say “I am God” would have been even more confusing then than explaining the Trinity sometimes is today. If you haven't caught this mistake: "then than" Really liking the book. I'm thinking it would be great for gifts to loved ones etc. that haven't...

Hi Matt, I liked that chapter. I think it will serve fine. I especially agree and think that Jesus is the answer to every problem.

There are others here who espouse non mainstream theology.

I hope your experience here is good for all.

Hi Douglas,

There's A LOT of material to be read @ this link: http://www.theos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=4088

Maybe too much material, but it runs along your posts theme.

God bless,

Re: John 3:16 book

Hi Matt, I'm very interested to read your book on John 3:16. May God bless your efforts. I like what I've read so far and think your doing good. Just one thing to point out. Shouldn't this: "Introduction On Monday, January 12th of 2012," Read: January 9th, the 12th was a Thursday. God bless you and ...

Re: Revisiting Acts 13:48

Hi Tychicus, I understand. Have you considered that maybe the people were themselves disposed to eternal life and stood up in the ranks of believers with God honoring their disposition by quickening their hearts with further disposition, much like how in the reverse Pharo is said to have hardened hi...

Re: Revisiting Acts 13:48

Hi Tychicus, I don't read where God appointed anyone: Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (KJV) I like Steve Gregg's teaching on this verse in his tape series I listened to years ago t...

Re: John 3:16 and God's love

I was wondering about the idea that it is a greater love to die for all and not just your friends when I remembered, John 15:13, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. The idea above has some logical merit but then there's what Jesus says here. Just thought...
