Does anyone know of any outlines of the Book of Romans that have been created from scratch (not upon previous outlines -- say before 1980) based on the awareness of the racial tension that Paul was trying to fix?
Just about every outline I can find on the internet seems to be based on the original assumption that Romans was simply teaching doctrine

Hiya Mike!
I see you've made it into this New Forum (from "Tweb," TheologyWeb).
We've discussed this before in Tweb's "shoutbox" (mini chatroom). I've not found or seen what you're asking about. Perhaps somone else can help you out? Mainly, I just wanted to say Hi and Welcome: Take care & gtsy,
P.S. I'd still recommend listening to Steve (Gregg's) lectures on Romans if you haven't.

Hey Rick... Yes I finally made it.
And hi Paidion.
I would expect that an outline that started with awareness of the anti-Jewish sentiment would not clump chapters 1 to 5 (or to chapter 8) into one category. Instead there would be separate major topics in the outline for boasting and then for the arguments surrounding the mention of Abraham.
Alas, I doubt that such outlines were created before -- at least as would be available on the internet. But I figure it is worth a little bit of searching.

I have just made a new outline of Romans that shows the initial problems that Paul was trying to fix among the Roman believers as he approached the main problem of the anti-Jewish sentiment that was acting against Paul's purpose of making the Jews jealous unto salvation.
The outline is at
