Did either Peter or Paul specifically mention any of the healings they performed in their Epistles? I don't recall that they did, at least specifically.

i don't doubt there's someone somewhere that might find an allusion to one, but no i think you're right, acts is the only place i can recall that records those explicit healings by paul and peter. maybe 2 corinthians 12:12 being the closest thing to such an allusion.
grace and peace...

Hey Jeremiah--

yeah there are a couple of places where Paul talks about signs and miracles and power but nothing specific.

I brought this up because there is an acquaintance of mine who is pretty regularly posting on Facebook his "successes" in the realm of physical healing. The other day he posted how someone's fractured ankle was "completely restored" and how tumors "disappeared" and then today he posted how how someone's torn rotator cuff was completely healed.

Now, the veracity of these "healings" is one thing. And while I admire his boldness and willingness to pray with people for healing, I am more bothered by his need to constantly advertise these successes on Facebook. I am not sure if he is doing this to bring attention to himself, or whether he is just trying to give God the glory, etc. My initial thoughts is that God should only be getting the glory if these healings are really and truly "healings."

I have never commented on his posts because I don't want to be start trouble. But for some reason it doesn't sit right.

I've been going through the book of Mark recently, and it's an interesting contrast what a low profile Jesus tried to keep in this regard.
