Jeremiah: "But My people do not know the requirements of the Lord. How can you say 'We are wise and the Law of the lord is with us.', when in fact THE LYING PEN OF THE SCRIBES has produced a deception."
Isaiah: " But the word of the Lord WAS TO THEM, precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little that they might go and fall backward and be broken, snared and taken."

This above is Jeremiah 8.8 but earlier in 8.5 "Why has this people slidden back , Jerusalem in perpetual backsliding?"

So Jeremiah was talking about the people the Israelites at his time & i don't see any connection to Moses or the Levitical law.

Steve, Remember that there are 2 priesthoods.
"All were baptized into Moses. All ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink from Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ. This is the word of God according to the priesthood of Mel. It is know known as the Law of Christ and includes the Ten Commandments.

Later, you have the Levitical law entering in and being added to the word of God. Remember, we are not to add to the word. The Levitical law didn't come from God.

They were a house divided, (as it says in the New Testament). Many claiming the Levitical law to be the Law of God.
That's why Jeremiah ( from the priesthood of Mel) says, "How can you say that the Law of the Lord is with us, when the lying pen of the scribes has produced a deception."

And Isaiah( also from the preisthood of Mel) saying, the Law of the Lord was to them( those of the Levitical law) line upon line......
They weren't continuing in the way prescribed by the priesthood of Mel.

This is what Jesus has to say: "You teach doctrines and commandments of men."
As Paul states in Galatians " "But he who was born according to the flesh, then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit."
And " The desolate has many more children than she who has a husband.", meaning, those of the Levitical priesthood out numbered those born of the Spirit.

What they're basically saying is that the those of the Levitical priesthood they weren't the legitimate heirs of Israel, and a lot of their laws and ways did not come from God. "Cast out the bondwoman, they shall not be heirs...
