Hi all
refering to the 6 points, they all happen within 70 weeks and that by Messiah.
I see it as his work of redemption on the cross....how else could we have everlasting righteousness or the atonement of sin?

So if he achieved atonement for sin and forgiveness of sin at his death and ressurection, then is it reasonable to assume that the other points were forfilled then as well--as the time frame for all 6 points was 70 weeks?

Plus the fact that after the 7 and 62 weeks (69) he would arrive.
Doesnt that put his work in the 70th week.?--cut off in the midst of the final week (his ministry did last 3 1/2 years)
We know from john the baptist testamony that the Messiah would be shown when the Spirit came and rested and remained on him and he himself didnt recognise him as revealed Messiah until then..at his baptism.
(the start of his ministry)
So if this was the work that Messiah came to do, then Jesus said himself that he had completed that work that was given him...and then when he took his last breath he said it was finished.

To account for the remaining 3 1/2 years--without a gap, could only apply to the disciples recieving power from on high and staying in Jerusalem and Judea, until perhaps Pauls or corneleus conversion..which marked the beginning of God going to the gentiles---and the 70 weeks for Daniels people being over.

phew.

God bless every one you
Jeff
