Jacobs trouble
Jacobs trouble
Is there any teaching on this site about the Time of Jacobs Trouble? I've searched but can't find any thing?
Re: Jacobs trouble
I don't know if there is a previous thread on it, but it came up on this afternoon's radio program. What I said there was that the only reference to this expression in the Bible is Jeremiah 30:7, where, in context, it is best seen as a reference to the Babylonian invasion of 586 BC. The idea that a future tribulation is here indicated is, I believe, unsupportable.
Re: Jacobs trouble
I think Jacob's trouble probably has not happened yet,
"In that day declares the Lord Almighty , I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds , no longer will foreigners enslave them." Jer 30.8
It sounds to me that foreigners ended enslaving Israel beginning in 1948 , and if true that may mean Jacob's trouble could be Psalm 83 followed by Ezekial 38 which are events still to come IMO. I understand Israel later on also meant the body of believers but Jacob is physical Israel IMO.
