Question about the antichrist and the endtimes.
Question about the antichrist and the endtimes.
Since a preterist believes that the antichrist was "Chained" during the destruction of Isreal, does that mean his "release for a short time" at the end of the 1000 years was the regathering of Isreal?
Re: Question about the antichrist and the endtimes.
I can't speak for all preterists, since everyone is a preterist to some degree (we all believe that some prophecies have been fulfilled in the past—which is the definition of "preterist"). Yet not all agree about how many prophecies have had a past fulfillment.
I myself have never thought that the antichrist was chained at the destruction of Jerusalem, though some people may believe that. In fact, I could see some preterists making that claim. However, it will be up to them, if they believe that, to respond in their own way.

Is it possible, Jacob, that you are confusing this with the binding of Satan at the cross?
