Is the cartoonist mocking the teacher for trying to teach eschatology to children?
or is he telling us that eschatology must be taught to the children ?

Re: Sunday School Lesson
If memory serves, Paul is not American (or North American), and doesn't speak English all that well. That may explain why he doesn't get the humor.
Paul, it's funny because of the absurdity of using an advanced word like "eschatology" with small children, and asking them for their thoughts about it. (And, I'm not sure, but maybe also because their blank stares are the way most folks respond when asked for their Biblical reasons for their beliefs on eschatology.)

I actually live in Canada but I did not get the humor behind it.
And yes I'm an ESL ( english is my second language ) person.
I'm sure that there will be some ESL person who would have understood the humor but I'm a bit slow.
