Yes, of course I do. You do understand that "literal has taken on a different meaning in hermeneutic circles of late? "Literal" simply means "according to the literary style. Many have changed "literal" to mean physical and tangible. I believe the parousia event actually happened many years ago (70AD). But do I believe in a physical, bodily return? No, of course not. There is no such precedent for that. In every instance of the day of the Lord that occurred in the OT, there was no physical, bodily presence either. Perhaps you were not aware of that. I have many, many posts at Narrow Path Ministries that outline my Scriptural position in regard to my preterism. Not once does the NT express the parousia coming as being a long, long time away but rather it is expressed as a soon, near, nigh, must shortly come to pass, coming quickly, at hand event to the first century church...
