The first statement in that sentence sounds good to me, but the rest of it, I personally can't find that in scripture. What is the point of Christ reigning as an Earthly king for 1,000 yrs? They tried to make him an Earthly King in the New Testament and he fleed away from them. The Kingdom is plainly stated, that it is not of this world. I have found no reason in scripture as to why Christ would reign on the Earth, as an Earthly King for 1,000yrs before the final ending. I see the end, as the end. The end of Earthly history. And after the end, when it's all made anew, a new Heaven and Earth, Christ will turn it all over to the Father.karenprtlnd wrote:Grandma said that..... at the second coming of Jesus Christ, the wicked would probably not be able to survive, and the righteous would be changed in the "twinkling of an eye". In our "patriarchal blessings", given often to us as young teens, or as new members of the church upon request, many are promised that as one remains true to the scriptures and to God through strictest obedience, that they will be able to "come forth on the morning of the first resurection". There is however a second resurection taught, and that being of the wicked AFTER the 1000 years of Peace. The Millenium. Durring which time Jesus Christ will reign upon the earth personally. After that comes THE JUDGMENT[/b],and our "eternal reward" or eternal "state", which then gets into the 3-kingdoms of glory doctrines.
I'm not wanting to "push" anything onto anyone, but maybe some don't know we believe these things.
Ephesians 1:20-21 - Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,Mazx67 wrote:The first statement in that sentence sounds good to me, but the rest of it, I personally can't find that in scripture. No, not in my opinion anyway. Only the righteous raised immortal and incorruptible that Christs second coming. I think Revelation 20:4-5 point out that only the righteous reign with Christ during the millennium sabbath. After the thousand years the unrighteous dead are raised into judgment.Mazx67 wrote:At the 2nd coming, do the non saved dead get an immortal perfect ressurrected body like the saved people?
