Well, one set of law was certainly written with God's own finger, on sapphire stone, and placed inside the Ark of the Covenant whereas as the other set was written by man in a book and placed out the outside of the Ark as a "witness" against what was written on those two blue stones.
i am simply curious as to why you think the tablets were sapphire. i have never heard of this before.

TK, thanks for asking. I think the "colors of God" is one of the most interesting things we can learn about our Father in heaven. As you know "sapphires" are blue and blue is one of the three primary colors (red, yellow, & blue) that make up all color.

Now, after receiving the "Words of the Covenant" (spoken) and having the "book of the law" dictated to him by the Father Moses took the 70 elders and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu went to receive the Ten Commandments.

Exd 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and [there was] under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in [his] clearness.

Exd 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

So along with many others I've come to conclude that the Ten Commandments were written on blue tablets "as clear as the heavens." It is also interesting to note that blue is the only color that the "whore" of Revelation 17 is not covered with.
