When Did Preterism begin?

I find it extremely ironic that full preterism and dispensationalism, which seem to be opposites, both have their roots deep in the thinking of Catholic Jesuits who were anxious to defend Catholicism from the reformers!

Simple as this, Homer - if it cannot be proven through the Scriptures then it cannot be believed.
