Okay, so as the title suggests, I would love to get some non-premillennial thoughts on the four living creatures in Revelation.
I read through some of the thoughts in Steve's book, but they all seem equally vague to me to be honest.
Perhaps we are not meant to know, but I'd love to hear what conclusions you non-premillennialists have come too.

Hi Othniel,
As you know, there are multiple suggestions about the four living creatures, but I am not aware of their dividing along the lines of premillennialism and millennialism. It is entirely probable that you could find one view of these four creatures being espoused by some premillennialists, some amillennialists and some postmillennialists. Which view of the living creatures are you familiar with already?

Ahh, that makes sense. I shouldn't assume that the version of premillennialism I was taught is universal among premillennialists.
I was taught that they are literal creatures around a heavenly throne. Any symbolism represented with them is seen as additional information rather than primary information in discovering their importance.
However, considering the nature of the vision and the book, I'm inclined to believe that the beasts are symbols for some other thing.
