I have joined BSF and this week the lesson is on Revelation chapter 1. I am reading through the commentary in "Revelation Four Views" relating to this chapter. On page #55 of the book there is the statement

The newer translations usually favor the latter reading ["a kingdom of priests"], based on its similarity with Exodus 20:6, from which it is apparently taken.

I don't see the parallel in Exodus 20:6. Was a different OT reference intended?
