Well...never in my life have I prayed for the Devil. I trust God to deal with him as He sees fit.
Though Origen taught that "the last enemy" would eventually choose to repent and submit to God, he never suggested praying for him.
Also, the church of Origen's day had no problem with his teaching concerning the reconciliation of all to God. It was not about that issue that the church later rejected his teachings, but rather it was other issues that led to that rejection.
