Looking for a good Bible

I've been searching for a wide-margin Bible - or one that somehow allows me to write some notes near the text. However, I haven't really found anything sutible yet. Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone have a Bible like this? Of course I would like to have both the OT and NT in it. As far as translation is concerned I would settle for a KJV, NKJV, NASB, or NET. Can you help?

peace,

dane

I havn't saved the money yet, but this is one of the best I have found in the last year or so of looking.

It is NKJV but there is also a NASB available and an ESV early in '09.

Wow! That looks like an awesome Bible ... a bit on the pricey side ... but awesome nonetheless. Thanks for the tip - it looks exactly like what I've been looking for ...

Looks good Matt ... is that a soft cover or hard back? Are you generally pleased with this one?

Here's a Wide-Margin Bible, genuine black leather, 10.2 type size for $43.94.
Best of all it's the English Standard Version, an update of the old RSV, but more literal.

From the ESV Website:
Altogether the ESV translation work involved an exceptional team of more than 100 worldwide, including: (1) the twelve-member Translation Oversight Committee, led by Dr. J. I. Packer as the General Editor; (2) sixty leading Bible Scholars; as well as (3) a sixty-member Advisory Council—all of whom are committed to historic Christian orthodoxy and to the timeless truth and authority of the Bible.

Mine is hardcover. Not sure if you can get it softcover. It's what I was looking for, but I ended up not using it as much as I thought I would. I write my notes on a half sheet of paper instead and only use underlining in my Bible.

Peace!

Get a copy of the Orthodox Study Bible (OSB) published by Thomas Nelson. It is the NKJV Bible, with the Old Testament Text and Canon corrected and revised according to the Greek LXX Old Testament...cited by Christ and used by the Apostles. So you get a Complete Bible in NKJV English, but based upon the Greek from the Ancient Greek Texts from Genesis to Revelations. It has Maps, Diagrams, Notes and Cross References. Now you will have the Bible Canon and Text (in American English) upon which all Ancient Translations into Latin, Goth, Gaelic, and other tongues throughout the world...the very Bible Wycliff and Huss used and died preaching and publishing in their own languages (Old English & Bohemian).

I Love it.

I have to concur with Paidion. I own this bible and I am very pleased with it. I especially like the single column format. The print is fairly large and there is adequate room for making notes. It's a very readable translation.

A few months ago I decided that I wanted the NKJV that "slipperyfish" recommended. At that time I was sending all of my extra money to a mission in Kenya, and couldn't afford it. I happened to mention my desire for the Bible to a brother and he sat down and wrote a check out for it. I was so blown away that I started to cry right there on the spot. He wouldn't let me not accept it. So, today I'm using the "fancy" NKJV, wide-margain Bible that God bought for me. Awesome.
