A question for those who are of a preterist type mindset. Would you say that every case of a prophecy with a double fulfillment has a NT confirmation of that fact, or are there any prophecies with double fulfillments that we are left to reason out on our own?

Here's an article that will help you, initially, decide for yourself, if "double fulfillment" has any validity regarding NT prophecies. Remember, the OT was typological and shadowy to the coming Anti-Type, Christ and His Body - The Church (Col 2:17). Basically, NT prophesies ARE NOT typological or shadowy and no greater fulfillment is possible or biblical. No amount of "invented" cleverness will be able circumvent or diminish a 1st Century fulfillment and consummation.
