I am not a musician myself but I have gtown up with many in my family from classical to contemporary, several generations. I myself believe as in any art form if Gods truth is present in the person , it will transend into his or hers music, or other creations....
I listen to varied artitsts and I know what you mean by a set and how it is agreed upon when played for the public.. So even in that type of situation with ballads etc. I think you can just concentrate on creating what the Lord has Has develped in you , let Him lead and you will do fine.

Like anything else. Itr takes faith in our Lord and courage ( which the Lord loves) to go forward into anything new.
