Hello All,
Thank you for your input which helped me unpack the truth of my inquiry. My original understanding grouped children/infants amongst the righteous, but after further review, they are a class unto themselves—innocent. Lot’s righteousness was sufficient in God’s judgment, and that’s good enough for me; moreover, it gives me hope that I could love everything about God and fall miserably short of exercising good judgment but still obtain His mercy verses destruction. Long life is a blessing from God, and short life is advantageous to every child of God. His love and mercy is poured out on the wicked, righteous, and innocent, and yet His judgments cultivates both life and death. Truly, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of Him is understanding.
