I will probably be offered a job at a company that sells fitness / health supplements. They seem to be a very responsible company and emphasize integrity a lot.
Being a fitness company, their marketing materials often contain scantily clad women. I've not seen anything at all distasteful; it's just a fact of this industry.
My first thought when considering working at such a company is the fact that I might be promoting vanity. I don't think that to be at all the case, however; it seems their products would be perhaps more in line with simply being healthier (I use similar products myself and don't think there's any vanity in my use).
My question is about the marketing literature. My wife thinks I'm a fanatic for even considering the possibility that this is something that would be a block for a Christian. Is my wife right?
Is this a red flag?

If you take the job, there will probably be Chrtistians who feel critical about the literature, and who may judge you for it. I won't be among them. I take supplements every day from more than one company. I think some of these companies may feature attractive women in their literature (I don't recall, because I haven't seen their literature lately). I might wish that their marketing department had greater sensitivities about modesty, but I can't criticize those who sell me the products to me, if I allow myself to buy them.

Brad, it sounds to me like you are a great guy to engage the culture here, and you can help to bring Christian principles to this company.
Not that you can go in and change the marketing ads all at once or ever, but I'm sure your Christian witness will bring glory to God.
