being thoughtful

If two people are believing christians in a marriage and they are
both thoughtful and considerate, that marriage has to flourish.
I have seen when one takes the other for granted and does not necessarily care what the spouse thinks that problems arise.
In the bible GOD tells both male/female our certain roles and
responsibilities and if we would heed we would not see the high divorce rate among believers. Men should lead by example so the family can follow.......
Just some thoughts!

Yep...check out 1 Peter 3:1-7! The first 6 verses ...Biblical advice for wives...
"Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel-- rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror."
And ONE verse for husbands...short...but jampacked with info!
"Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. "
It goes against a woman's grain to try to win her husband "without a word" I believe this struggle between the sexes, comes from the curse ..
Genisis 3:16To the woman He said:
"I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you."
In my own marriage and in my own spiritual journey, I've chosen to live in obedience to God's Word...and when I feel like using words...and then some more words....to win my husband...I take it as one of my opportunities to die to myself and choose instead to walk by faith and let my conduct do the talking. God has blessed my obedience!
