I have been listening to Steve's messages. One I heard yesterday is "Knowing God 12" (Fellowship with God part 1). The part about the Siren's Song hit home. I wanted to sin. I liked the Siren's Song. Trying to repent was fruitless until God brought it to my mind that my sin was just a shadow of a shadow of the real thing God wanted for me. I asked God to give me a desire for the real Song-Him. It worked. To chain myself down was not working. To find the most perfect Song did work.
