Re: Only Trinitarians Saved?

I remember reading this quote in a theology textbook when I took a condensed Systematic Theology course at a seminary in New England:

(In regards to the Trinity) - "Try to explain it, and you'll lose your mind; but try to deny it, and you'll lose your soul". - Millard Erickson (Christian Theology, 1998)

I remember reading this and thinking how bizarre a statement this is. Although I believe in the mystery of the Trinity, it seems so illogical to conclude that someone is lost because they don't believe in something that is unexplainable!

Maybe i'm to simplistic but if God is "ONE" yet three divine beings exist, then my math tells me two of the three came from the "ONE". So the Spirit of God and the Word of God came forth from the Father.
